Bruges, in Belgium, is one of those towns that one must return to because it is so idyllic and charming. We took a bus to meet our docents.

We walked over a beautiful, modern bridge into a town several centuries old. It had once been the number one commercial center in Europe. However, the Industrial Revolution never came to town.

Hence, it was like traveling back in time. We took a canal river cruise to see the sites. Afterwards, people spent time shopping for Belgium Waffles, chocolate and gifts.
