There is nothing but interest in seeing regular traffic slowed down to a crawl by farm tractors…as long as they are going the other way. Naturally Ellen wants to drive one.

In Tatum, NM we drove by Westcraft Metal Art Inc. and took the time to take a few photographs. They depict scenes from the old west and that of natures animals in action. It’s amazing how much detail they place in these silhouettes to give them a sense of motion and dimension. We understand that there’s another place in town named Poor Boy’s Metal Art but we missed it. Maybe we’ll catch it next time around. We had to get to Roswell, NM.

Having been there before we didn’t feel the need to visit the Alien Museum but there were still lots of pictures to take. We definitely saw two live aliens on the sidewalk. Can you find that picture? Jorge had to take a picture with Dr. Robert Goddard. It made his day. The reason we passed through Roswell was that it lay in our path to go and see Smokey the Bear’s grave and museum in Capitan, NM. Before heading for our hotel in Socorro, NM we stopped by the Valley of Fires. There’s an easy walking trail but it is long. We saw another flying saucer in Socorro. They get around. Jumbo was probably the most interesting thing to see…a piece that survived an atomic blast!
