Today we chose to first visit the Bicycle Arch in Cookeville TN. It was created by local artisans. It marks the entrance to the bike path between Cookeville and neighboring Algood. Across the way is an old steam engine train. Very nice!
But wait! There were actually 5 things we planned on seeing but they’re not here! That’s because it was a long, long trip and we chose to skip them to go visit the Antique Archeology Store in Nashville (from the show American Pickers). So, you’re missing:
* The Massacre That Saved Knoxville Monument
* The Military Memorial Museum
* Hidden Hollow Park
* An Army Tank in a front yard
* The Wall of Honor
Alas, you won’t see any picture of the Antique Archeology Store; we had a flat tire when we arrived in downtown Nashville TN. However, AAA serviced us where we stopped so you’ll a picture of Hustler Hollywood. We’d never heard of it. Jorge thought it was a book store until we walked in asking for an address. Wow!
We got the flat tire replaced at Discount Tire in Nashville. From start to finish it took about three hours to get back on the road again. That made us miss at least three more sites we planned on visiting. We’ll include them on another trip.
The House made of a tree stump made it today because it was close to our path. And so it goes…
