Day 2

Monday 1/7

Bristol TN

to

Nashville TN

Note: Any blue text you may see on this website is a hyperlink for you to click on for more information. Ellen thought you should be reminded of it. Anyway, today it was a straight drive to Nashville TN. Twice before we tried to go the Johnny Cash Museum and the Patsy Cline Museum and we wanted to make sure to see them this time. Interestingly enough, the Cline Museum sits above the Cash Museum. We believe they are owned by the same people but you have to separately pay the big bucks to visit each one.

The street was full of life and people and Jorge couldn’t help give money to a beggar…for his own safety! ;-)

On the previous page you may have noted that we took a picture of Patsy Cline’s Home in Winchester VA. So, it made sense to visit this place and we thought it the better of the two. However, we then attended the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum just a few blocks away. What to see? Exhibits for: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Nashville Studio Pickers, Chet Atkins, Sun Studio in Memphis, Otis Redding, Booker T. & the M. G.’s, Capitol Records, Motown Studio, Muscle Shoals Studio, and many more.

However, there was also one for Johnny Cash! We both thought it was as good or better than the museum only dedicated for him (above). Yet we are glad that we saw them both. Take a look at that photo of Dolly Pardon. What a thin waist! Jorge says that it’s because nothing grows in the shade. Naughty boy!
