Today’s mission was to get to Danny (Ellen’s brother) and Beverly Custer’s home for a promised prime rib dinner. So when we stopped for lunch we pecked at our food as birds do. The pictures here do the meal justice. 

Before arriving  at their home we stopped in Waco TX to visit the Dr. Pepper Museum. Brands made by the company include 7-Up, A&W Root Beer, Canada Dry, Schweppes, Squirt, Sunkist, Hires Root Beer, Snapple, Hawaiian Punch, Mott’s, Margaritaville  Margarita Mix and many more. According to the museum, Dr. Pepper is the oldest major soft drink brand company. Who knew?

They also make Jorge’s favorite soft drink: Diet Pepsi. Apologies to Coca Cola and other brands. Ellen likes unsweetened ice tea. To each his own!

It’s always a blast being at the Custer residence in Belton TX. Not only is there a great view but fantastic company. We are all very simpatico, as they say. Rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs was also successful this evening as they won the national college football championship. “Goooo dawgs, sic’em!”
