We wondered how many windmills there are in that corridor between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Most of them are huge. Others are medium sized or even smaller.
The first museum visited today is the First Original McDonald’s Museum. Brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald opened their first restaurant on May 15, 1940. The restaurant was originally called McDonald's Famous Barbecue and served barbecue.
There were lots of people visiting. The proprietor said that they come from all over the world. We believe it! The first thing Jorge did upon entering the front door was to run into a couple of small children. We had to keep looking down as we walked.
Next door is the Inland Empire Military Museum. It is our understanding that Mario Montecino operates both this museum and the McDonald’s Museum. Both museums are free to enter and donations are welcomed.
The military museum is two large rooms with sections dedicated to each branch of the military. It included soldiers from our country’s founding
Then we headed home to face the inevitable Los Angeles Traffic. This is a Saturday!
