Today’s pictures are few. We had hoped to show many more. However, Jorge lost all of his pictures. Gone forever! Ellen’s few photos will have to do.
We traveled to a library where big books, an apple, a ruler and a pencil. adorned the front of an otherwise plain building. (Click on the blue inked text if you wish to see an online picture.) We went past a neat replica Art Deco Route 66 Gas Station. Yep, that station is nowhere near Route 66.
The World’s Richest Acre is about oil. Both sides of the street are lined with wells. Black gold!
The story of Shorty the Squirrel will have to be read by going to the link (blue text above). It’s a wonderful story worth a few minutes reading on the internet.
The Lefty Frizzell statue was quite impressive. We knew little about him until we saw his statue and read about him. Again see the link.
The Branch Davidian Massacre Site had a plaque. It seems however that a fee was required to enter. Too bad. If we ever find Jorge’s pix will share them with you. Sorry!
