We had driven by the World’s Largest Spur in Lampasas TX before but we decided that Ellen need to get involved. Take a look at that picture. Did she make an impact?


The Smiling Steel Wheel Man near San Saba TX (the Pecan Capital of the World) was just a drive-by picture. He looked cute to us.


Brady TX is in the center of that state and therefore the True Heart of Texas. It was there that we finally got to visit the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. It’s not a big place but it is expanding. There is an auditorium upstairs that features country music.


There are plenty of rest stops on interstate highways. Generally, one doesn’t think too much about them. Yet, every once in awhile there is one that stands out. Interstate 10 (I-10) features one rest stop with a wagon wheel theme. Kind of makes sense out West!
