Since we’ve been driving through the West, we decided that we needed a big gunslinger photo. Check out “Big Jim, the Cowboy”  in Bentleyville PA. He is thin and detailed and modeled after the artist’s son, James C. Krutz, Jr.

The road today was filled with lots of turns. It’s called the National Pike and is the first road commissioned by the U.S. Congress in 1806. It’s a beautiful drive!

Then we stopped by Addison Park where they hold an annual chainsaw art contest. We show a few art samples in our photos. Actually, we expected to see better quality sculptures.

We met Gary Yoder at the Spruce Forest Artisan Village. Before leaving California we watched an episode of Barnwood Builders and he was featured in a segment. We had to see him. He carves birds and feathers. What a treat!

Now we are home in Virginia and hope you enjoyed out pictures and notes. Until next time!
