We ate breakfast at the Stovepipe Wells Hotel. We don’t think we’ll need to go through Death Valley again.

The ghost town of Rhyolite was on our way to Beatty NV. However, we got a picture of it but that’s all. However, the free Goldwell Open Air Museum was a hoot.

You park and walk to the sculptures. Who thinks of these things?

The Beatty Museum is more typical of a small town establishment. It looks as if the community decided to donate old stuff to fill the place. The dioramas were a hit with us and the best part.

Then there was the Donkey History Museum. We met the son of the owner who explained many things about how his family got into the business. It started with his mother who one day decided she wanted a donkey for a pet. After about 25 donkeys they decided to go into the donkey-equestrian rescue business.

CSee that picture of Ellen in St. George UT. She is standing next to a giant spider with license plates pasted on its head. Again, who thinks of these things?
